What are studio etiquette policies? The Studio Etiquette policies are in place to ensure that both you and your fellow guests have the best time. We thank you in advance for respecting our Beach Ballroom guidelines. Arrive on Time and don't forget to say Hi Arriving a 5-10 minutes early allows you to settle in, warm up, and be ready to fully engage in class. Doors will close 5 mins after class start time and late entry past then won't be allowed. The studio is a shared space, so be mindful of others. Avoid talking while instructors are giving instructions, and be considerate of where you stand to ensure everyone has enough room to move. Dress Appropriately Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows freedom of movement. Avoid loose items or jewelry that could get in the way. Proper dry footwear (e.g., dance shoes or non-marking sneakers) is also important for safety and performance. As you will be often dancing in hold, we also ask that you stay mindful of personal hygiene. Keep a Positive Attitude Dance is about expression, but it's also about learning and improving. Approach every class with a positive attitude, an open mind, and a willingness to grow — both individually and as part of the group. Respect the Instructor and Fellow Dancers Listen carefully to your instructor's cues and feedback. Be respectful of your fellow dancers' space and abilities. Dance is a collaborative, supportive art form, and a positive environment benefits everyone. Limit Distractions and Tune In Turn off or silence your phone before class starts. This shows respect for the instructor and your fellow dancers and helps you stay focused and present. Stay Hydrated and Take Breaks When Needed Dance can be physically demanding, so make sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks if you need them. Listen to your body and rest when necessary. Clean Up After Yourself Help keep the studio clean by putting away any props or equipment after class and making sure you’ve gathered all your personal belongings. Be Open to Feedback Constructive criticism helps you grow. Embrace feedback from your instructor and use it as a tool to improve your technique and performance. Have Fun! Dance is about enjoying the moment and expressing yourself. Let go of any self-doubt and embrace the joy of movement — it’s all part of the process.
